Subvoice ("we", "our", "us") is operated by Jasper, an Australian sole trader. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the Subvoice app and website (subvoice.com.au). We are committed to complying with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following information when you use Subvoice:

• Account information: your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth)
• Business information: your business name, ABN, address, and other details you enter in Settings
• Financial records: invoices, quotes, expenses, bills, and client details you create in the app
• Subscription data: purchase receipts and subscription status from Apple or Google when you subscribe
• Usage data: basic app usage information to help us improve the service

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and operate the Subvoice service
• Process and verify your subscription payments via Apple or Google
• Send transactional emails (invoices, quotes, reminders) on your behalf via Resend
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve the app and fix bugs

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

Subvoice uses the following third-party services to operate:

• Supabase — database and authentication (data stored in Australia/US AWS regions)
• Apple App Store / Google Play — subscription billing and payment processing
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Netlify — web app hosting
• Stripe — payment processing (web platform)

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary to operate the service.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses row-level security to ensure you can only access your own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.

7. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Complain about a breach of the APPs to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC)

8. Children's Privacy

Subvoice is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Subvoice after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
